#3 FF: Feature and Follow

How do you organize your books? Either at home on your bookshelves or on your reading-device, or on your bookish platform like Goodreads,Leafmarks or Booklikes.-Unconventional Book Views

I use to organize my bookshelf by authour name and series. However, as of lately my bookshelf is very disorganized and nothing is alphabetically correct haha. Thus, I rely on memory of cover art to find certain series or books when I am searching for them once more.

I don't really use electronic devices (I love physical books) so my kobo is disorganized as well.

I LOVE GOODREADS. On Goodreads I sort books by read and currently reading. I also mark books in my wish list. I also have in previous years marked books by the year I read them (ex; read-2014, read-2013, read-2012). This is a good track record of what books I have read and in what year I read them. I also really love the progress option on goodreads.

I  don't really use Booklikes and I did not know what Leafmarks was until today haha!!

My bookshelves remain in a permanent disorganized state. No matter how much I try to organize, they go back to their messy self soon. :)

I tend to feel so out of my depth with Goodreads. I don't know why, but I really do. I really should start using it more. Sometimes, I still have trouble trying to post a review, so that sort of sends me scurrying off the site. Here's mine:http://editingeverything.com/blog/2015/05/15/feature-and-follow-friday-3-organised-chaos-is-a-valid-form-of-organisation-on-bookshelves/

Great answer. I love being organized so I organize my shelves by author. but I like reading both paperbooks and e books equally...I didn't use to feel that way...but lately I just love my e reader, but there are times I love feeling a real book in my hand, with the scent of a real book close to you. But I keep my nook organized through shelves by genre.

I just have way too many books for organization. I just need to give some books away. Maybe that will help.

I hadn't heard of BookLikes or Leafmarks until now. I'll have to check them out and see what they're all about. I do use Goodreads a lot though. I have shelves for genre and then a shelf for stuff I plan to buy. My actual books are all organized by genre and then alphabetically by author.

My kindle is organised with nice little folders telling me what's to be read this month and Goodreads is but that's not very tidy. As for my physical books there is not organisation, I just know what I need to read there.

I tend to remember books by their covers as well! That's a really good thing because my library is completely disorganized! Happy reading! :)

Lol, my Goodreads is a mess! I have shelves like "best book boyfriend" and "tearjerker" but I really need to be more organized about it. (: I'll work on it tonight!
